A lady friend of Merry Ted’s
Reluctantly today
Perched her rear end ‘midst sickly folks
As minutes ticked away.
She waits for nurse to call her name
Among the coughs and sneezes
Of others who may fear far worse,
Depending on diseases.
Why is it, in a waiting room,
Odd patients want to tell
The body sitting next to them
How, fully, they’re unwell?
Dismayed at overhearing
Tale of episiotomy,
Ted’s friend is very grateful
She’s here for mere phlebotomy!
