Hair-Raising

Ted's travelling by bus today
To city twenty miles away.
He booked his seat to watch a show,
Now, let me see, three months ago.
Great pantomime, stupendous hit
Was so much fun his sides were split.
This upbeat mood for his return
Would dissipate as he'd soon learn.
Bus driver waited not a sec
For passengers to reach top deck.
With clear resolve to make speed happen,
He'd rival Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
Careering wildly round each bend,
Ted, clinging, felt his life might end.
In front sat Man, head shiny, bald.
Was he, too, equally appalled?
Most certainly, was the response
As, gingerly, he rubbed his bonce,
Informing Ted, with hand on heart,
That he'd had hair at journey's start!
