Merry Ted’s feeling uncommonly cocky
Tomatoes are swelling and red
Though, sadly, limp celery’s failing
And leeks look decidedly dead.
On the plus side, courgettes are majestic
And, Oh, his asparagus spears.
If all’s picked, blanched and frozen by tea-time
He’ll be serving his bear friends for years.
